Hazmat - Will Not Carry

In this course, students will become familiar with the fundamentals for recognizing Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) as well as the regulations for will-not-carry operators. Specifically, by the end of this course, students will be able to define HAZMAT’s general philosophy and purpose, understand limitations and exceptions for certain hazardous materials, identify the nine classifications of hazardous materials, their labeling and marking, and transport documents used in HAZMAT. Students will also learn to recognize potential undeclared hazardous materials that may warrant a closer look and determine the correct emergency procedures to follow in the event of a HAZMAT incident.
